A Word from the Centre Director

Welcome to Centre for African Business Education. This is where learning goes both ways. We learn from our participants as much as they learn from us and it has been the most exciting journey to get to this point – and even more exciting to think about where we are going!

The growth and emergence of Africa as a key investment destination in recent years means that Africans as well as non-Africans engaging with or doing business in any African market must have a thorough understanding of the business environment. It is not enough to just learn about the ‘culture’, but you must understand how the cultures of each individual African country affect the way business is conducted in that particular market, taking into account the potential opportunities, the risks involved and the mitigation strategies required.

At the Centre for African Business Education (CABE), we pride ourselves on being able to provide our participants with the right tools, techniques and strategies required to allow them achieve operational excellence in Africa regardless of whether they are an individual or an organisation, African or non-African and whatever sector they are in. We have built our courses and programmes on a foundation of research, quality and critical thinking, tapping into the combined African business experience of the CABE team, as well as a continuous pipeline of data and information flowing in from our various partners, trainers and consultants on the ground in Africa. It is about the seamless integration of real and practical local knowledge with readily accepted global standards – African content, African context, Global standard management.

Delivering the highest quality education and training is a critical part of the CABE ‘DNA’ and, having been accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), which is part of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), we are incredibly proud to be able to be able to provide UK accredited courses created by Africans for African markets and we look forward to welcoming you on one of our amazing programmes.
